Making the Dream of College Attainable: Celebrating Early College High Schools

The Early College High School at Delaware State University and Innovative Schools are proud to join EdWorks and educators across the across the country in celebrating National Early College High School Week from March 24 through March 29.  The celebration marks the success of EDWorks’ Fast Track Early College High Schools and is intended to help raise awareness of the unique value that Early College High Schools have to offer students in our communities.  Fast Track Early College High Schools provide the necessary support for first-generation college goers to help them succeed.  Those who enroll in the program can earn up to 60 college credits for free while in high school, giving them a head start to complete a college education in 2 to 3 years. Delaware State University has established the top leadership of its planned Early College High School with the hiring of Dr. Judi L. Coffield. Dr. Coffield will serve as the director of the public charter school that is slated to open in September 2014. Read More>>
